This antique Karache wide runner (or area rug) is nothing less than stunning. Understated sapphire blue and rust tribal motif on a black field is offset by pops of sage and gold. Hand knotted around 100 years ago and dyed with natural vegetable dyes, this piece of art was made to last generations. This handsome devil boasts extremely thick wool pile and has virtually no wear! Beautiful abrash areas from oxidation of dyes over time give it a time worn appeal. Slightly irregular shape (see photos). The perfect statement rug for your living room or kitchen.
Pictures do not do this one justice. Colors are brighter as the close ups.
Due to the vintage/antique nature of our rugs, there may be imperfections and signs of wear. This character is what I appreciate about a time worn rug and hope you will too. Colours may vary based on your screen or home lighting. I try to photograph each rug as accurately as possible in daylight, but please be aware that they will look different in low light. I’m always happy to send photos in lower lighting upon request.
