I just love the thinking about how these unique pieces of art were made to last generations...passed down from a time when craftsmanship was at its finest. This one of a kind tribal Persian runner rug was hand knotted with wool by nomad people and dyed with natural vegetable dyes. Over time, the natural oxidation process of these dyes (called abrash) gives this beauty the most unique dark raspberry ombré field highlighted by burgandy, navy, and indigo medallions with pops of purple and gold. Caledonia features medium height pile, slightly wavy sides, and some allover wear...she's in beautiful vintage condition and has so much charm. The perfect piece to complete your bohemian bedroom.

Due to the vintage/antique nature of our rugs, there may be imperfections and signs of wear. This character is what I appreciate about a time worn rug and hope you will too. Colours may vary based on your screen or home lighting. I try to photograph each rug as accurately as possible in daylight, but please be aware that they will look different in low light. I’m always happy to send photos in lower lighting upon request.
